Mr. Ball CHEUNG**
President, Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK)

Ball Cheung has over a decade of experience in product design field. He used to be the design manager of a creative brand under a Hong Kong listed company and won many local design awards.

Cheung is currently the founder of Sapiens Design and the vice president of the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK). 

Cheung’s interests include Hong Kong culture, traditional craftmanship, innovative technology, and ecology; he dedicated in responding society with creative design. Cheung believes good design is not confined to a particular style – it is all about a fine balance between every component with different material, people, and things.


Dr. Charles CHAN**
Founder and Director, Tunbow Group

Dr. Charles Chan, the Founder and Director of TUNBOW Group, has over 40 years' experience in the business of manufacturing and sales of home electrical appliances since the establishment of the Group in 1994. Through continuous evolution in technologies, innovation and application with vast ODM and OEM experience, Dr. Chan earned good reputation on the Group's products and mastered to start the promotion of its own brand.

Dr. Chan was awarded the "12th World Outstanding Chinese Award", conferred the Honorary Doctorate by Lansbridge University of New Brunswick, Canada in 2010 and presented with the "Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards" in 2011 by virtue of his vast knowledge, profound experience and seniority in the industry, as well as the contribution to the society.

Mr. Elmond CHEUNG**
Vice President, city'super Store Brand, City Super Ltd

Mr. Cheung is a strong believer in positive thinking with over two decades of running brand business experience including lifestyle brands city'super and LOG-ON across Hong Kong and overseas. He is passionate in life and loves challenges and enjoys everything with the latest technology.

Mr. Lam Hung-Shing, Max**
General Manager - Creative & Design, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Co., Ltd

Mr. Lam is the General Manager responsible for the creative design and development of jewellery products. He has almost 20 years of experience in the jewellery industry, specializing in jewellery design and strategic product innovation. Mr. Lam was awarded Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Designer Award and was conferred Fellowship and Chartered Manager by the Canadian Chartered Institute of Business Administration. 

Apart from leading the design team in creating innovative value, Mr. Lam has also been actively engaged in a research project titled "Ancient Chinese Gold Techniques" in collaboration with the Art Museum - the Chinese University of Hong Kong in recent years. This project explores the context and evolution of Chinese gold culture through the integration of historical humanities, artifact analysis, and restoration experiments. Additionally, he organizes exhibitions, seminars, and workshops to promote the preservation and dissemination of gold culture to the industry, academia, and the public. 

Mr. Fai LEUNG**
Co-founder, AlphaCube Group Limited

Mr. Leung has over 25 years of industrial design experience. He was the Design Director and had led multiple design and product development projects during his service period in several companies. In 2019, he founded his own design studio, Fai Design House, aiming to help SMEs and others develop creative and innovative products, and pursue design accolades.

Fai actively contributes his time in professional design community. He was the advisory committee member of The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association (2018-2020) and the judge of Hong Kong Smart Design Awards in 2020. He was also the preliminary judge for Hong Kong Awards for Industries (Consumer Product Design) (2017 and 2019) and Goldreed Industrial Design Award (2020). And now, he is the Project Convenor of ReMIX and dedicated to promote the state-of-the-art and professional practice of industrial design in local community.

Fai’s original designs have won over 100 local and international design awards, which include Red Dot Design Award, iF Design Award, Japan Good Design Award, German Design Award, German Promotional Gift Award (PGA), Award US Muse Design Award Gold Winner, A' Design Award, Asia Design Prize, K-Design Award Grand Prize, International Design Awards (IDA) , Taiwan Golden Pin Design Award, Taiwan Lite-On Awards, European Product Design Awards (EPDA), China Red Star Design Award, HK Designers Association Awards (HKDA Awards), HK Smart Design Awards (HKSDA), London International Creative Competition (LICC) and the NY Product Design Awards, etc.

Mr. Tommy LI**
Creative Director, Tommy Li Design Workshop Ltd.

Tommy is the brand designer/consultant for the generation renowned for his "Black Humor" and "Audacious Visual" designs. Spanning Hong Kong, China, Japan, and Asia, he is one of the few designers to have penetrated the international market. His design philosophy is to be able to create influential design in the market in order to experience the value of the designer. Graduated from the School of Design in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, received over 600 awards.

Tommy invites by Hong Kong Heritage Museum to organise his solo exhibition –【Project‧Objects‧Play Tommy Li P.O.P. Design Show】in 2018. His 20 years solo exhibition – From Hong Kong (covering an area of 15,000 square feet), Chengdu, Suzhou, Beijing to Shenzhen from 2010 to 2015.

"New Weekly" collaborated with "Design 360" and "life style academy" selected Tommy as one of the top 20 China’s most powerful designer appealing to market (graphic design). [Rebranding X Consumption Jungle] published in 2012, this is the best seller of brand design text books in China. Tommy Li Design Workshop was selected by "Chinabico.com" to be one of the best top 10 Branding Company in China.

He has become a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale — a globally renowned alliance of graphic artist and designers) since 2005. Over the years, he is the judge of international competitions. Such as iF Design, D & AD Award, Global Design Award, Hong Kong International Poster Triennial, Golden Pin Design Award, etc.

Tommy Li has brought remarkable success to his major clients included Hang Seng Bank, MTR Corporation, Maxim’s Caterers, Chow Sang Sang Holdings International Ltd, Taetea Group, Dairy Farm Group (First Choice), Honeymoon Dessert, Ying Kee Tea House, HKPC, Shanghai Watch and etc.

Mr. Kelvin MUI**
Founding Director, Axiom Design Partnership Ltd.

With over 20 years’ experience in architectural and interior design industry, Mr. Mui joined Conran Design Pacific, Asia Pacific Regional office of Conran Design Group from the UK in his early career. He was in charge of various commercial and retail store renovation projects including Sheraton Hotel in Hong Kong, 7-11 chain store concept, Café De Coral, Just Gold, etc.

Moving on to his career as a multi-discipline consultant in The Oval Partnership Ltd. and established his own consulting agency Axiom Design Partnership Limited. Kelvin and this team had led large scale projects from master planning for architectural projects, to commercial and residential interior design projects in HK, mainland China and overseas including retail identity development for renowned brands such as Nespresso, Emperor Jewllery, Chow Sang Sang, Hong Kong Jockey Club and Bossini etc. Some of those projects, Emperor Jewllery, Just Gold etc., have received Honorable Mentioned Award from International Design Award (IDA) in the USA, as well as Successful Design Award in Shanghai.

In addition to professional practice, Kelvin also invests his time in social services and has led charity projects across Hong Kong and Mainland China. He is the Assistant Governor (Area 2) of Rotary Club and the Past President of Rotary Club of Hong Kong.

Ms. Jane TONG**
Founder and Managing Director, Giormani

Ms. Jane Tong is the Co-founder and Managing Director of renowned sofa brand GIORMANI. GIORMANI was established in 1999 and has obtained more than 20 significant awards and recognitions. GIORMANI stores are all over Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. GIORMANI also develops overseas markets through an international brand named “KELVIN GIORMANI”, exporting high-end custom-made sofas to over 20 countries worldwide; and it has set up showrooms in Hong Kong and more than 60 other cities. Ms. Tong is the Executive Vice Chairman, Secretary General of The Hong Kong Furniture and Decoration Trade Association. She is also one of the committee members of Retail Industry Training Advisory Committee of Qualifications Framework, the HKSAR, and VTC Retail Trade Training Board. Furniture and Fixtures Industry Committee of the Chinese Manufactures’ Association of Hong Kong. Committee of Federation of Hong Kong Industries (Hong Kong Furniture Industry Council), SME Sustainability Society Committee and Treasurer. Ms. Tong was also invited to be professional judging panel or mentor for different tertiary educational projects, e.g. HKDI, VTC, etc., to support and nurture the new generation of furniture industry.

Mr. Kevin YEUNG**
Chairman, Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association

Mr. Kevin Yeung, chairman of the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association, is an experienced fashion design and creativity strategy consultant for fashion brands. He holds a Business Management qualification from Hong Kong Baptist College and received fashion design training at l’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Courture Parisienne in France.

Kevin has over 20 years of experience in the fashion design industry, focusing on both Hong Kong and foreign brands. For the past 20 years, he has worked primarily as a creativity strategy consultant for established fashion brands in Mainland China. During this time, Kevin has successfully helped brands develop their "Lifestyle Store" business models, producing stunning results. Recently, he has been actively exploring digital fashion and cultural creative fashion, assisting brands in achieving high-quality development.

Mr Leo YIU*
Vice President, Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK)

Leo Yiu Chun Pong is a celebrated product designer based in Hong Kong who has risen to prominence with his compelling design style and prolific output. After graduation, Leo went on to elevate design departments with his unique vision, in companies both in Hong Kong and abroad, as well as extensive freelance design work for Vice Versa (Italy), Nextime (Amsterdam), and Hailo (Germany).

In his award-winning work as a project designer and manager for the better part of two decades, Leo has created over 200 products and created a niche all his own. His product design studio—PONG—begun in 2017, has pushed the boundaries of smart product design and formed a new bridge between aesthetics and application. While finding new beauty in old forms, his name has become synonymous with cutting-edge design that stands out in a broad range of product markets. Not only that but his timeless designs result in products that have true staying power in the market, and they remain sought after more than a decade after their initial release.

The output from his product design studio is based in products that make life smarter in a beautiful way, and with this simple mantra as a guiding force, Pong is making an impact across Asia and the rest of the globe. Creativity is never stifled, and thinking outside the box is essential. Working with new materials and manufacturing processes, PONG demonstrates the same flexibility on the technical side of production as its founder does in the creativity of his designs.

Leo was also a Visiting Fellow at the Hong Kong Design Institute and works with a number of equality-oriented design projects with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and other innovative institutions. Leo has also won numerous awards for some of his most unique designs, including the 2010 Kapok Prize Best of the Best Award, IF Design Awards in both 2015 and 2017, and the Red Dot Design 2018 award. With an extensive list of international clients and a track record of design brilliance, PONG and its founder are bringing a fresh approach to the next generation of product design.

Mr Kelvin POON*
Design Director,  Tunbow Group Limited

Mr. Kelvin Poon has over 30 years’ experience in product design and development. He was engaged in product development and design in the glasses manufacturing industry in his years. He later joined the home appliance manufacturing industry in 2000 and is currently as design director of Tunbow Group Limited.

Mr. Poon has contributions in the industry, He was awarded the Fellowship (Electrical Appliance Industry) by the Hong Kong Industrial Accreditation Council in 2014.

Mr. Poon has participated in different types of home appliance product design projects with the purpose of innovation and thinking from multiple perspectives. His designs are deeply recognized by customers.

Ms Agatha TSANG*
Founder of Bon Bone Design

Agatha Tsang, founder of Bon Bone Design (1999). She was first trained as graphic designer and illustrator in HK reputable design schools, and worked in graphics and advertising as well as illustration field at the beginning of her career. In 1989, she studied French and cultural subjects in Aix-en-Provence, France. In the following year, she then further her studies in École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (Paris) and graduated in 1993 holding a Master Degree in Industrial Design. Agatha had been Creative Manager in Shenzhen ID, TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Ltd., Project & Creative Consultant in DELSEY S.A. Asia Ltd., and WPW. In 2013-15 she had been hired as visiting lecturer and invited designer of co-creation workshop for PolyU and Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation (HK Poly U) respectively.

Some of her works include: Dab Radio designed for John Lewis (Spectrum Mono) recorded as the best gift sold out in 2012 Christmas. Its heritage design style of Spectrum Duo DAB/FM Bluetooth NFC Digital Radio is recorded as No.1 Best BUY in “Which” consumer goods magazine (UK) in 2014.

Agatha has also served on design judging panels for different trade, non-profit and government organizations since 2010. She was Honorary President and Honorary Treasurer of the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK), as well as Life member of Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA). She is versed in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and French and able to translate International user needs into effective product designs.

Ms Irene TSE*
Director, Deson Medical Group

Ms. TSE Hoi Ying, Irene (“Ms. Tse”), is an executive Director of the Deson Group (Stock code:262) since 1 March 2022. Ms. Tse joined the Group in August 1999. She is the director of the Group’s subsidiaries, Medical Technologies Limited, Allied Health Elements Company Limited and Medical Technologies Engineering Limited. She is also the director of the Group’s associate company, namely UltraX Technologies Company Limited, a Taiwan company which holds appropriate importer medical equipment license as well as providing medical equipment distribution to Taiwan hospitals. Ms. Tse is also a director of another JV start-up company, Hope4Care Ltd. with the cooperation of the professor from the Chinese University of Hong Kong which aims to bring HK invented technologies into the world. In 2022-23, Hope4Care products has won some major awards such as TSSSU+ (the Technology Start-up Support Scheme for Universities) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong as well as silver award in International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2023. Ms. Tse is responsible for building distribution network for medical and healthcare equipment, sometimes with engineering work required to get the site ready for equipment installation. Ms. Tse has set up a medical engineering company for the Group for building the first medical grade modular hydrotherapy pool in Asia. As for the emerging market for occupational safety, Ms. Tse also introduces different safety tools to prevent work injuries. She also provides related consulting business for the Group regarding healthcare area.

Ms. Tse was elected as the President of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong (RCOHK), the most senior club in HK, for 2023/2024. She is also involved in a few medical groups regarding medical technologies as well as in INACHAM (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong) and HKEIA (Hong Kong Electronic Association).

Mr Steve YEUNG*
Co-Founder & Design Director, Innosphere Ltd.

Granted the Hong Kong PolyU Distinguished Design Alumnus of the Year 2022 and the Honorary Fellow of the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK); Steve is an acclaimed product design expert with 25 years of product design and development experience. With winning over 30 international design awards and owning product patents, he cofounded the product design firm INNOSPHERE which specializes in new product innovation (NPI) and product branding that supports HK corporates and start-ups with customized design strategies.

Since 2015, Steve has been the Judge of the James Dyson Awards. He has the mission to promote international design competitions and events to universities and students. Being the visiting Lecture of the School of Design, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Sheffield Hallam University U.K. and the University of Warwick, the U.K., he shares his industry knowledge and experience in product innovation to the new generations.

Steve is the former President of the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong, the former EXCO of the Design Council of Hong Kong, FHKI and the Startup Council of Hong Kong, FHKI. He is proactive in liaising with business organizations to promote design industries.

Invited as the mentor of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park (HKSTP) Incubation Program. He coaches startups with professional advice on human-centered product development and practical knowledge on tech productization.

Steve earned his Master's Degree, MA in Automotive Design, from Coventry University, U.K. and his First Degree in BA (Hons) in Industrial Design from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is the Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, U.K.
