Why should I participate in ReMix project?
ReMix provides a chance for designers/design teams to show their talents and partner with Hong Kong classic brands to create design products. In this project, you shall lead the entire product development and be responsible for all relevant matters. More importantly, you can get design credit, receive royalty fee, to be promoted to the industry and public.

Who is eligible?
Applicants can participate as an individual, a design team of 2-3 people (at least half of the team members must be HKID card holder), or as a Hong Kong registered company. In addition, one of the team members must be a member of Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK), or an industrial designer with qualifications* and at least 3 years working experience, or an industrial designer without relevant qualification but with more than 5 years working experience in product design.

*Qualification means recognised diploma / associate degree / university degree holder or above in product / industrial design, or related disciplines.

How do I apply?
All applicants should submit all the required information in the 1st part of application including personal particulars, CV and portfolio. Eligible applicants will receive an email containing Login ID & Password to access the online application system and more details about the Collaboration Brands. Applicants are then required to login and complete the 2nd part of the application by indicating brand choice(s) and submitting a short passage (100-300 words) to explain the reason(s) for choosing the brand(s) and insights about the brand(s) before application deadline.

How should I do if I have not received Login ID & Password?
Since the notification email containing system login details is an automated email, please check the junk/spam mail folder if necessary. Applicants can also contact the Secretariat and provide your application number for inquiry.

Can I choose more than one Collaboration Brand?
Yes, you can show interest to more than one brand (up to three brands) and attend more than one interview but you will only be matched with one designated brand. Design team which passed the screening stage will be invited to present a preliminary design idea at an interview (physical / virtual meeting) for further selection.

Can I amend the submitted details after completing the application?
All personal particulars, CV and portfolio submitted in 1st part of the application cannot be amended while applicants can revise submitted information in 2nd part of the application via the online system on or before the deadline. No changes are allowed after the application deadline.

When will the results be announced?
Shortlisted design teams will be notified 1 week before the interviews via email and will be invited to present their preliminary design at interviews (physical/ virtual meeting) with the Collaboration Brand Representatives and the Assessment Panel in end March 2021. Final matching results will be announced in April 2021.

What are the benefits for me/my design team of the collaboration?
Selected designer/design team will form a business partnership with Collaboration Brands to create new design products with design credit, receive royalty fee and get media coverage. The new products will be exhibited at roving exhibitions and be available to the market via major O2O sales channels.
