Prepare documents

- Resume and Past Design Portfolio (PDF file) Less than 20MB and less than 25 pages, language not limited

Eligibility
- Individual, design team of 2-3 people (at least half of the team members must be HKID card holder), OR Hong Kong registered company
- At least one team member must be a member of the Hong Kong Industrial Designers Association (IDSHK) or hold a professional qualification* with a minimum of 10 years of industrial design work experience.
- Must provide a product portfolio (at least three complete series) covering multiple projects or product lines.
- Must have completed at least three full final product series portfolios.
- Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the complete design process, with practical experience in collaborating with manufacturers and the ability to manage various constraints in the mass production process.
- Must possess the capability to navigate supply chains, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing processes.
- Must be adaptable to new tools, new technologies, and market trends while maintaining design rigor, and be proficient in operating 3D design software.
- *Qualification means recognised diploma / associate degree / university degree holder or above in product / industrial design, or related disciplines

Successful applicants will receive an email within 7 business days with “Login ID and password” to access the online system (Participation information can be modified before the deadline).

Assessment Criteria
- Product portfolio
- The ability to navigate supply chains, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing processes.
- Practical experience in collaborating with manufacturers, with the capability to manage various constraints in the mass production process.
- Qualifications / awards / recognitions achieved in the design field.
- Proficiency in adapting to new tools and new technologies, along with skilled operation of 3D design software.
- A total of 7 to 9 professional design teams will be selected.
